2012 Junior Tournament

The Junior Tournament in 2012 was a big success and well attended by the vast majority of playing juniors within the club. The level of interest in the game of tennis that the juniors of Horsted Keynes village have is fantastic.

The tournament structure allows many timed matches to take place in a round robin format, therefore every point is worth fighting for. All matches were played to good sportsman conduct and brilliantly overseen by some committed and dedicated parents of the playing juniors.

It is extremely beneficial to the juniors of the club for tournaments to take place frequently as this allows all junior players of age and ability to express themselves on court and finding out how they cope with winning and losing.

I am very pleased at the standard of tennis played and for the last few years some of the older better juniors have represented the club in senior league matches.
